Uncle Dave and my Dad came down for the week to celebrate his retirement. They played some golf in some of the worst weather all month, and took a hike in the Supersitions. I think he got one day of sunshine before heading back to KC.

Visiting Chi-Town

We visited John and Jenny and Katie, Chris and Baby James in January. We visiting the best weekend Chicago has had all winter, highs in the 30's and 40's and snow only one day! I got to see James again, and Uncle Scott got to meet him for the first time. We also visited the Museum of Science and Industry.

Scott and I headed north to Flagstaff for our first hit at the slopes this season a couple weekends ago. I wish we could have brought Addie up, I think she would have fun in the snow. Next time doggie!

Doggies everywhere

Chole and Riley went to Cosmo's Dog Park for the first time, and loved it! Also, we have a doggie sleep over with Lola James. Addie and Lola are best of friends obviously! She comes again this weekend. Let the fun begin!

So yes, my mother (and father, sometimes) are wintering in Arizona this year. That meant a 22 hour car ride that I swore never to do again, stopping at least every hour to let the little dogs go to the bathroom in 2 degree weather, and a horrible book on tape about a cheating pilot.
