Haboob

We had a little dust storm yesterday.  You might have seen it on shows like TODAY.

FYI - We were not stupid enough to stand out in it and "experience the storm".

Now I need to go clean up.

Swimming

These might be my 2 favorite photos of the summer.

We got T a life vest/swim trainer, and we love it.  She swims around the pool the whole time, and loves her freedom (although we are never more than a few feet away)

Tot School

Tessa is 25 months old

Lots of learning has been going on during the past month with all of our travels.  Also, a lot of changes have been taking place in the past month as well with T.

"Yes Mama" has been replaced by "My Do It!"

The change happened overnight it seems, and it has been a steep learning curve, but we're doing better this week.

Toddler friendly activities has been my lifesaver!

Learning to cut up fruit.  Painting rocks, and running thru pom poms (she that it was the funniest thing... kids are weird)

Glass Beach

Our last stop in Kauai was to glass beach, which is adjacent to an old dump - which results in the beach being covered in sea glass.  It was really neat, although people over the years have taken the glass, so there's not many big pieces left.  Tessa loved it.

Thus is the end to our Kauai trip.  And we can't wait to go back.

It's my party

For my birthday, I asked to go on a helicopter ride.  It was amazing.

Taking off from the airport.  We flew in a doorless helicopter, and sat in the front seat with the pilot.  We flew over the sugar mill and the sandstone cliffs we had seen earlier in the week.
