Girls weekend (plus baby)

We had a girls only (plus baby, whatever it may be) weekend while Scott was in Vegas.  We gave him constant updates on the fun WE were having via iPhone.

Swimming and cookie making on Friday (cookie making actually occurred at 730 in the morning, because why not?)
Breakfast at Schnepf Farms, followed by train rides and the petting zoo, which was full of baby goats.  Tessa held each one at least 15 times.  And no need for us to wear Green on St. Patricks Day, because we're the real thing.

A walk to the U-Pick garden gave us carrots to bring home.

Saturday we hung out with Papa while the painters were at our house and watched more basketball.

Today began with sprinkle pancakes, MY movie pick (Annie... not The Lion King which we have watched for the past 4 movie Sundays) and more fun with Papa (Honey was helping me put the house back together).

Getting a bike ride and walk in between thunderstorms.  Tessa even learned first hand what hail is :)
I think we win in the fun category (and I know we spent less money!)

this week...

A peek at our week so far (is it really only Wednesday?)  This week we have gotten our Easter decor out, including bringing back out our sensory bin which has been put away since we moved, and my 1 2 other decorations (bought the tree at Target last week... the egg was a gift from Grandma Nonny, painted by her of course).  The painters got to work again this week, painting our ceilings white.  The nursery ceiling was painted as well... excited to see the nursery coming together.  Also, we've been rosy cheeked this week... not because of the sun, but because of fevers.  Hopefully this passes soon.

preschool brown? not today!

We actually did an art project that did not turn out as preschool brown! (i.e. all the colors are mixed together to make brown)  This is a welcome step for me.

Please let me know if you want a commissioned string art painting from Tessa :)

We have peaches!

In January, Tessa and I planted two peach trees to add to our farm :)  They seem to be doing well so far, and hopefully they may give us a few peaches this first year.  The Florida Prince bloomed first and has sent a lot of peaches already, and the Dwarf Bonanza begun blooming this week.

Florida Prince/Dwarf Bonanza Peach
Scott laughed at the size of them (especially the dwarf bonanza because it is maybe 18 inches tall), and they are small compared to our HUGE orange trees.  But we did learn that our trees were planted 70 years ago!  We are having fun nursing our trees back to health, and they are almost ready to bloom for next years crop.
