When your Mommy is 8 months pregnant, you get a bath in the utility sink.  I think this may be the new norm around here.

Tessa can swim.

No more crying.  No more fear.  Tessa can swim.  I am a little proud.

Remember that one time Katy came to town?

So this is another catch-up post.  Back in October my friend Katy, from high school, was going to be in Tucson for a day.  So we drove down and spent the day at Reid Park Zoo and eating some great Thai food.  Tessa is usually shy around new people, but took to Katy immediately.  She would ask Katy to carry her and ignore Mom and Dad!  It's alright Tessa, I like her, too.  We will need to visit her in Colorado some day!

30 weeks

I sent this picture to my sister yesterday, and I have to admit I look cute, so I decided to post it here, too. (yes, I am vain. But I am also pregnant so that's my excuse). 10 more weeks (at the most 11) to go!

Easter - Part II

Our Easter celebrations started on Saturday with Easter Egg dying.  (We used the koolaid method of dying the eggs this year, and will probably go back to the normal vinegar and color tablets next year)

And while our eggs were getting beautiful, Scott was turning the irrigation on.  Tessa and I soon joined him, where she had fun playing around in the water.

Easter morning was full of fun and candy from the Easter Bunny!

Back inside we set the Easter table in preparation for Honey and Papa to come by, and Tessa opened presents from Grandma and Grandpa McMillan.

Tessa and Scott prepared carrot cupcakes (in matching aprons) and I decorated them.

Just like last year, Tessa got to wear a vintage dress made by Great Grandma Nonny when I was little.  (I actually think Katie wore this... so it may be sent north to Cousin Claire to wear at some point)

After Honey and Papa arrived, we had one last easter egg hunt.  It was a wonderful day!

She's an otter

Yesterday she had her first swim lesson of the summer.  She's an otter this year, which means solo in the pool.

Having fun at the beginning...

the fun stops when they make her float on her back followed by a barrel roll and "eyes wet"

The look of horror.  She cried on and off for the rest of the lesson, so the pictures stop here.  She did say she had fun and is looking forward to go back.
