BVU

Friday (two weeks ago)

I went back to Storm Lake, Iowa to
attend my 5 year college reunion.  Yes
there are such things as college
reunions, even 5 year, when your
university is as small as mine was
(1300 students).  For the 2nd time in
a month Scott and I ran another 5K,
with both of us improving our time
for this year.

We ate at Honey Kissed Pizza, a
college favorite for me and played some
skee ball, which I scored an all time
high.

Saturday

Homecoming football game today
against a huge rival, Wartburg.  We
won, 26-21.  We hung out around
campus that night and went to puffs
with a whole bunch of old friends,
some who I recognized, and some
that I didn't.

Sunday

Headed back to the southwest
through Omaha.  Had to take the
obligatory photo of cornfields.

Wildlife World Zoo

Saturday

We drove to the West Valley to check out
the Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park.

I am pretty sure Scott was about to
get a shower from this monkey.

The only animal that wasn't in the
shade -
We were able to feed the griaffes, too.
(I have video, which I am sure you
will see soon, but no pictures.)

Race Judicata

Last Sunday

We ran our first 5K in almost 3 years,
and came out okay.

I was second in my age group
and won myself a nice medal.
Scott was 20th, beat out of 19th
place by 2 seconds (go Barry).

We're well on our way to the
Rock and Roll Half.

MN

Last weekend we headed to Minnesota to see our good friends Annie and Adam become "The Merrill's" We encountered a lot of traffic (even worse than Phoenix)

on our way to Rogers, Annie's home town.

Saturday morning we went to a local nature preserve and had a little run in the rain.

Scott is currently training for his first half marathon, which is in January.  Very proud of him.

And yes, it rained during the wedding, which is definatley good luck (Scott and I should know)
I didn't take many pictures, since the rest of the pack was taking plenty.  But we did end up with this one showing all 6 of us (that's Christina's hand).  I am sure more will come with all of us.

Congrats to the 2 A's

Random Labor Day Happenings

a huge weed that hid from me in the yard
the guys
playing at grandma's house

after Addie's sutures came out, and her cone was off.
The hair is growing over the scar, and she is looking back to normal now.
