Playing catch-up

1. I didn't win.  Boo.
2. There were a lot of things that happened in October and November that were blog-worthy, and in between buying a new house, trying to move, AND being pregnant, they just didn't make it.  So here we go - Back to October!

My parents, Tessa and I flew back to Kansas to enjoy some great fall weather and see the relatives.  After a LATE flight that was made even later by delays, we slept at a hotel a KCI and then drove down to Oswego to visit Grandma Ruth.  Oswego welcomed up with their annual festival - Oswegofest!

After a few days in Oswego we drove back to the OP and hit up the Farmstead.  We were joined by Aunt Linda, (the other) Grandma Ruth, Cousin Erin and HT.

This is the best shot of the cousins, at least Harlow looks happy.

We were able to stay with Uncle Dave and Aunt Teresa, and their backyard was a nice break from the brown Arizona desert.

We were able to gets some visits with Grandma Nonny, and then snuck in a trip to the barn to see Aunt Janice and her new horse, Hondo

FYI - We will probably be making another trip back in September-ish after #4 arrives :)

Maybe I'll win

Although I love our photographer who took Tessa's one and two year photo shoot, I cannot pass up an opportunity for a free newborn photo shoot with Jen from Green Apple Images.  Her images are dreamy.  And I wouldn't have to try and take my own this time around :)  Just over 3 months until we get to meet #2!

Girls weekend (plus baby)

We had a girls only (plus baby, whatever it may be) weekend while Scott was in Vegas.  We gave him constant updates on the fun WE were having via iPhone.

Swimming and cookie making on Friday (cookie making actually occurred at 730 in the morning, because why not?)
Breakfast at Schnepf Farms, followed by train rides and the petting zoo, which was full of baby goats.  Tessa held each one at least 15 times.  And no need for us to wear Green on St. Patricks Day, because we're the real thing.

A walk to the U-Pick garden gave us carrots to bring home.

Saturday we hung out with Papa while the painters were at our house and watched more basketball.

Today began with sprinkle pancakes, MY movie pick (Annie... not The Lion King which we have watched for the past 4 movie Sundays) and more fun with Papa (Honey was helping me put the house back together).

Getting a bike ride and walk in between thunderstorms.  Tessa even learned first hand what hail is :)
I think we win in the fun category (and I know we spent less money!)

this week...

A peek at our week so far (is it really only Wednesday?)  This week we have gotten our Easter decor out, including bringing back out our sensory bin which has been put away since we moved, and my 1 2 other decorations (bought the tree at Target last week... the egg was a gift from Grandma Nonny, painted by her of course).  The painters got to work again this week, painting our ceilings white.  The nursery ceiling was painted as well... excited to see the nursery coming together.  Also, we've been rosy cheeked this week... not because of the sun, but because of fevers.  Hopefully this passes soon.

preschool brown? not today!

We actually did an art project that did not turn out as preschool brown! (i.e. all the colors are mixed together to make brown)  This is a welcome step for me.

Please let me know if you want a commissioned string art painting from Tessa :)
