Pregnant Women
"Listen, the "miracle of life" is amazing and all that, but hundreds of thousands of women give birth every day. And surely we all know women who act normally when knocked up. But there are the others, the ones who behave in a holier-than-thou, self-satisfied manner, those who comport themselves as though they have suddenly become royalty, and make it clear that they're doing something incredible and you and your empty uterus are not worthwhile. Should we put women on a pedestal and treat them as untouchable bastions of goodness just because some sperm managed to find an egg? Or are we allowed to make fun of the fact that sometimes, pregnant women are smug?"
I didn't know I had a right to act like I was royalty. These last 4 weeks are going to be hell Scott :)

Out of Africa
My Mom, Scott and I made the journey to Camp Verde to visit Out of Africa Wildlife Park this past weekend and had a great time seeing all the animals and shows. Here are a few favorite pics, and you can view them all here

Fun at Chase Field
The St. Louis Cardinals are in town, and although they are 1-1 in the series (we saw the losing game) it was still a great time. We haggled our way to some amazing tickets. Best of luck to the Cardinals tonight. And Baby Mac got his/her first appearance on the jumbotron (with many more times to follow, I am sure).

(Ignore the kids in the hot dog outfits... the lady in white with the hand on her belly in the upper right corner... well thats us!)

South Carolina
Here are some photo's of my visit to see the 6-pack in Charleston, South Carolina. We fit an amazing number of things into the short weekend, and this is just a small portion of the photos that were taken by me (imagine the other photos with 6 other photo happy girls)
We were able to catch a concert by G. Love & Special Sauce on Thursday night

On Friday we went to the Angel Oak Tree, which is supposed to be 1400 years old. It was massive to say the least. After that we headed to the Atlantic ocean for some great lunch (great seafood all weekend long!)

We were lucky to be in Charleston that weekend, because it just happened to be Charleston Fashion Week, and Saturday morning we attending a bridal couture show (awesome for our two brides to be). We walked miles and miles of the old Charleston homes, including the Battery District. I was amazed at all the beautiful gardens that each of the houses maintained.

I had a great time with my girls, and hope to see them all soon! Congrats Cassie, and I hope you have a wonderful wedding day. Wish Scott and I could be there, and we'll see you all in the fall.

There should be a law stating you can't work on your birthday. Hopefully marble cake and italian food made up for it :) Happy Birthday.
