Dada is back

Scott has been gone for the past week.  Can you guess where he has been?  Here is a hint... he brought us back some souvenirs.

I thought this was a good idea

Every kid needs lots of attention obviously, and that need quadruples in the hour or so before dinner.  Tessa is tired, but it is too late for a nap, and she is hungry, but too early for dinner.  And it is too hot to be outside.  So I thought of a neat indoor activity to keep her busy.
Until this happened -

Yep, that's water flying thru the air and onto the floor.
Oh well, the floor got clean and T had a good time.  I will just have a lot more towels on hand for next time.

From A to Z

We spent a week in Costa Rica with my PA school friends for Christina and Simon's wedding.  I decided to change up our blog post this time and turn it into something educational (since I repeat the alphabet to Tessa 1000 time per day anyway).  It starts off rhyming, but it became more difficult to do.  So I hope you enjoy our trip to Costa Rica, told from A to Z.

A is for Adam and Annie, too
B is for Beach and the color blue
C is for Centerpiece, Crab and Christina
And D is for the dress that made her look like a ballerina.
E is for everyone being in one place
F is for fish and your pretty face
G is for Guide, his name was George
H is for Hilton and luxury galore
I is for Iguana and Iris
J is for jacuzzi which overlooked the volcano!
K is for Kelly with a Y and an I
L is for the town of La Fortuna, where the volcano lies
M is for Marriage of Christina and Simon
N is for neat fireworks after the party
O is for Ocean
P is for Pool, Puffer and Patience
Q is for quiet times (we had loud ones, too)
R is for rafting
S is for Scott, Simon, Sterling and shells
T is for Towel Turtle, Tarzan Swing (I am way up there in those trees... probably still screaming) and Tucans
U is for unbelievable views
V is for video

W is for waves
X is for an excellent time (I'm stretching it now)
Y is for you and me
Z is the end of our week with our friends.  We are already looking forward to when we can do it again!

MIA

We've been busy lately.  The reason involves passports, a volcano and being there to watch two good great friends get married.  More to come this week, after we get back onto US soil and we soak up some missed Tessa loving (Yes, she stayed home with the Grandmas.  She doesn't miss me at all, but we miss her so much.  But like they always say, babies and volcanos don't mix)

Ignore the rain, look for the rainbow

Sometimes the bad moments in life tend to overshadow the good ones.  And it's hard to forget about all the trials that we face each month, week or even each day for some people.  But here a is rainbow for some of you - Tessa playing in her Grandparent's new pool complex.  (The McMillan side)  We are so glad that you have decided to share some of the months here in Arizona with us.  And the pool complex is great!  I can see us spending lots of time here in the future. (Did I mention it was 112 when I was driving home from work today?)

I hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July.  We will be spending it there, in the water, and probably with the James family :)
