Midwest Tour, Days 6 and 7

We went to the St Louis Zoo on day 6.  The zoo is free, and it is awesome!  I don't think anyone will mind coming again and again.

Tessa is obsessed with maps.  She like to look at maps.  She likes to draw maps.  She like to hold maps.  Very fun.

The elephants were having a great time splashing diving in the water.  It was a lot of fun to watch.  Cool fact, the two in the water were about 6 years old.  And they were still small.  It's crazy to think about how quickly some animals grow (like chicks, who are full grown egg-laying hens in 6 months) and these 6 year old elephants were acting like 6 year old kids!  Their grandma was in the enclosure as well, and stood by, watching their fun.

Tessa is very hands on.  Goat - let me pet it.  Llama - let me pet it.  Guinea pig - let me hold it (although she wasn't allowed to).  Chicken - let me tackle it to the ground so I can hold it.  Bugs - let me hold it and squeeze it and put it in my bug catcher!

Asher slept for 3 hours in the carrier and woke up at the very end.  He's the best baby!

Later on that day was a get together with Scott's extended family.  I was pretty content to sit and relax after a hectic week and let everyone else entertain/enjoy the kids. (so not a lot of pictures to share!)

Day 7 we found ourselves on our way back to Arizona.

And we're done!
